Description:
A small to medium-sized olive-green leaf-warbler with well-defined supercilium and two wingbars. From Hume's by indistinct greenish-yellow crown-stripe, yellow supercilium, yellow wash to cheeks and throat, brighter yellowish-olive upperparts, and (poorly defined) yellowish rump. Bill has yellowish base to lower mandible.
Distribution:
Locally common summer visitor, mainly to Ghizer, Gilgit, Astore and Diamer districts. Summers in coniferous and broadleaf mixed forest of spruce, fir, deodar and oak, between 2100m and 2800m. Winters in bushes and well-wooded areas.
Behavior:
Forages alone or in pairs; in non-breeding season also in mixed-species flocks, often with other small warblers and white-eyes. Feeds almost exclusively in middle and upper canopy of trees. Food mostly small insects and larvae, such as springtails, aphids, small moths and tiny spiders.
